Safer Recruitment & Vetting

All Sophia High teachers and staff undergo thorough background checks and vetting before hire. We adhere to rigorous Safer Recruitment standards to ensure only qualified, experienced educators who share our child safety values join our team.

Ongoing Professional Development

Our teachers and staff team receive regular safeguarding training to act proactively regarding any child welfare concerns. We provide the knowledge and tools to identify risks and intervene appropriately to protect students.

Clear Policies and Reporting Procedures

Our comprehensive Child Protection Policy outlines expected behaviors, reporting procedures, and response protocols. Teachers understand their duty to immediately report any incident or concern regarding a child’s safety.

All staff are to understand their role in the aspect of safeguarding children and DSLs are expected to have the ‘lead’ responsibility.
